Default FRST brakes...

I currently have uprated disks and pads on the front... they are very good once they get some heat in them but I was just wondering what set up the rest of u lot have...? Im talking for fast road and occasional track day use.

It's the cost of decent discs and pads that worries me largely. £170 for Tarox 40 groove discs and £70 for pads. By time I've forked out for that and then some callipers on top of that I figured for an extra few quid I may as well get something a little bit special

i got escort cossie disc and calipers, was gunna go for 4 pots but a set of cossie calipers with drilled and grooved disc's came up for £60, i got a new set of mintex pads, so in all it cost me about £95 so cant fault the cost and sure as hell cant fault the brakes, although i think soon im gunna need some new disc's

i've got standard size brakes callipers but have drilled & grooved discs & green stuff pads.. these worked really well for about the first week, but now the discs have warped and i get an annoying vibration when breaking, the discs are only couple of months old! going to go for cossie breaks next i think!

thats what happens when u use green stuff pads. It's very very very common. Use ferodo or mintex.
