just brought a frst a couple of days ago. today it started coughing and spluttering then wouldnt start, turns out it had ran out of petrol. the petrol gauge was just above the red. what would cause this? the car has lockwood dials? could these be out or is there usually another problem. many thanks in advance

 

Needles have been put back incorrect, so whilst the car has no fuel take the dial front plastic off and take the needle off with 2 spoons and set it to the bottom of the red so in future you will know when its at the bottom of the tank problem sorted

 

are white dials really worth the hassle They go yellow really quick aswell.

ive got to sort mine lol its decided to go well beyond empty on the petrol gauge then sometimes it shows me x
