thanks a lot for the lap of the 'ring jim
after me doing jim a favour and lending him a set of wheels for a couple of weeks, he was kind enough to return a favour and let me drive his car for a lap of the 'ring yesterday morning.
engine felt really nice and has made me want a 24V now
suspension could do with a bit of tuning, but was quite fun to drive and had a good feeling to it. didn't feel as front heavy as i thought that it might, and brakes were not a problem either
did you know your car was capable of a sub 9 minute lap jim?
how are nerves and the hands now that you're back? think you might need a new door handle on the passenger side, that one has nail marks in it.

and one in the car park in between my ring taxi and mike r

btw, how accurate is your speedo? because it was showing over 140 mph at flugplatz, which is bloody impressive if it's anything like true

7" 3.62 LSD
at those speeds we would have been doing about 5.5ish
she doesnt seem to want to pull past that point tho, on the authbahn it seems to hit abrick wall at 140 indicated

sub 9 mins in Jim's saph
. Well drive that man.
Just goes to show what track knowledge and good driving skills = good lap times. Especially when u compare that lap to many people who have far more powerful cosworths

thank you steven
wasn't flat out either as we were chatting all the way around and were 3 up (not that jim weighs anything) and obviously i couldn't risk crashing someone elses car.
the torque was deceptive from the 24V. useful power everywhere doesn't feel as fast as the turbo rush from a yb or whatever, but can be applied easily mid corner to help with exit speed.
