Default Refitting the return fuel pipe to the fuel rail



This has been removed and now wont go back on how do you get it back on or do you need a new bit
Any help much appreciated

Who removed it at that point cos they need shooting!!! That was a sweated on joint there...by the looks of it half of its missing....try boiling water to soften it slightly then push it on...good luck. It should have bee disconnected by releasing the spring fastner abit further down.

it is an absolute nightmare to get back on,when we had to refit mine i just bought some more fuel line and put that on

If its the black plastic hose that was removed from the silver nipple then that shouldnt have been done? A special tool is available to remove the silver disc shaped washer from the rail itself, it is just really well sprung for security, you can make one up youself though.
It will just clip back over when re fitting if its lined up squarely, try moistening the rubber seal though to help them slide in the pipe. dont forget the wired safety clip over the top of that to stop it seperating.

Cheers guys it's a friends 500 and he realises that he made a bit of a boo boo he now cant get the bastard thing back on

Did this work well mate and did you use jubilee clips to hold the new fuel line in place?

If it's nylon pipe, just warm the end in boiling water and push it on. when it cools it will grip the barbs on the metal stub.
