Default Pace Intercooler... What power can it cope with???

Hello people I know its shit but i have the small pace intercooler on my car and was wondering what sort of power it can cope with??? I want to fit 701's and a better chip but dont wanna damage the engine... maybe i would be better off spending the money on the grs front mount cooler 1st. Your opinions please.

They are okay and will cope with your set-up but i would advise a bigger option, these go for good money on ebay so flog it there to fund a bigger item

Yeah save your money and get a front mount intercooler.

Dont forget the uprated fuel pump needed for the 701's.

its not really to do with power ur running more to do with wot boost and wether you have a T2 or T3 turbo (a bar of boost on a t3 will have lower acts than a bar with a t2 turbo)! as a general rule i wouldn't run more than a bar of boost on a pace! and make sure you have an ACT gauge to keep on eye on things

ah but a bar of boost on a t3 will be a greater volume of air to a t2's bar

so would this intercooler restrict the greater volume or not ??

14.5psi is 1bar some say it's 14.7 but that is 1ATM (1 atmosphere) so those people are wrong.

Just want to add my FRST is running on the stock pump as was my brothers until the weekend and both were 200bhp cars. Neither had issues on the stock pump.
