Default Bad Idle with 071's

My stage 1 2wd idle speed is unstable with 071's. it keeps making "small" acelerations with a 100 to 200 rpm deviation. any ideas?

What have you gapped them to mate?.

From what I can remember....

0.70mm will give you a smoother idle but may be a little lumpy higher up the rev range.
And 0.55mm-0.65mm will be slightly rougher on idle but perform better higher up the rev range.

From what I've seen they (ford dealer) have installed them as they come, I mean didn't see them check the gap, removed each from the motorcraft box and pluged them I will have them out tonight and check

gap them at a 45degree angle as well m8 as the earth electrod is very short if you gap them as per normal it wil be too large a gap. Im sure 1 of the nice people on here will have a diagram to post up for you
