took my viper alarm out of my sunny gti today to stick in RS i hope to get soon, removed all the wires for siren etc, wires into loom for lights and door switches, and then central locking wiring, then removed and reconencted all my ignition wiring

i then turned car on, it started but idled very lumpy then cut out, i tried again, gave it some revs and it now limits at 2500rpm

any ideas what on earth i have done?

 

sounds like you havn't reconnected the wires together properly,, did you solder then back up, or just twist them together....?

 

If you looped everything though it shouldn't be running funny. As above.........

 

i did everything correctly, i disconnected the battery last night and left it til this morning, all is ok, must have gone into some kind of safe mode to protect itself as been in a huge rush before dark, i forgot to disconnect the - battery

should know better been a technician in nissan main dealer DOH!!!

all sorted now though and car has sold, pick my RS up tomorrow
