Default i hear running water when i start the car from cold!

as above, when i start the car from cold, i can hear water rushing about behind the dash. presumably this is the noise of the water rushing thru into the heater matrix.

but, surely i shouldnt hear it? surely it should already be full of water?

could i have a big 'ol airlock in the system somewhere perhaps? the heater matrix is new and doesnt appear to leak. the rad is weeping slightly tho

Jim, this used to happen on my saff ghia but never had any other probs or anything - the heaters always worked and there were no wet patches on the floor
