Default GRP A Head Bolts & Gasket.

Hi Guys how much boost is safe on GRP A head bolts & gasket when clamped to an RS500 bolck (7.2CR) ?

And based on the max boost from the above what approx power 'could' the engine make with correctly speced injectors, turbo, map etc ? For info the cams are standard and the head is ported and polished.

Thanks in advance for any replies / guidance.

WD

Dont know yet !

Just want to know what it could handle 'If' pushed hard and what would be 'safe' on that gasket / head / block configuration.

Cheers,

WD

I know the WRC gasket seems the way to go but what will it handle now ?

I dont want to rebuild if nessasary, will the head need a skim if it comes off or is it just a case of swaping gaskets and then re-torquing ? How will the WRC gasket work with the Grp A bolts or does it need long studding ?

Cheers,

WD

Needs longstudding in theory though some have run before without, head and block need to be perfectly flat.

Dont expect a std HG (read Group A) to last very long if you are running say 1.5-2 bar on that turbo IMO
