Default RST Wheel speed sensor.....

I need to have a sensor to detect road speed. I would like it to measure an undriven wheel, but I still have rear-drums.

Any idea's on how this can best be done?

Did any Escort's have drums brakes and ABS?

The ABS only works off the front wheels, so there is no sensor on the back

Only way would be to weld a marker on the inside of the drum. No other way of doing this....

Thats what i was thinking, but you will have to weld a equal weight the other side of the drum to balance it up again.

the mk5/6 escorts had a load compensator valve thingy on the rear beam, so as the rear end lifed under heavy braking it adjusted it that way.

Measure the ground speed instead of the wheel speed

But why would I want to? My drums are perfectly adequate.

They seemed to stop me OK from 169mph and I can lock the rear up if I wind the bias valve that way.
