Default Bronze vs Green tint

Just been on the blower to see about getting new glass for my S2 - I want to go to the bronze tint, which he didnt seem to quite understand, but anyway...

He reckons the rear screen MAY have a different connection for the heated screen / ariel, and if so, will not be able to supply a rear screen in bronze tint as the connection wouldnt be in the right place.

Anyone know of this / done this to there S2 ?

Thanks

Yeah, I personally prefer it myself, but the guy I was speaking to just didnt seem to understand! lol, kept on trying to get me to go for green tint, so i just replied "NO!"

Anyway, I got a quote of Ł621.72 for ALL the glass (cant remember if it included rubbers or not! ), what do people think of that?

Bearing in mind I cant do it through the insurance becuase the car is off the road, and therefore uninsured.

, that'd be me, but ive not got it connected up as ive got a bronze rear window to go in so didnt bother, i'll need to check the wires are in the same position im sure they are !

Why not get S1 glass from a breaker?, could have opening rears too or buy them new to get the fixed rear quarters?

The heating wires in a S1 and S2 are in different places.
