as above what do you guys think of the standard cam as to make like piper, kent and newman? cheers

 

standard cam.. unless you are going big big power

 

also depeneds on your full engine spec and if u mind a bit of lag or not!

 

Standard cam is pretty good wouldn't use Piper's 285T2 as doorstop personally

 

 

if it's your every day drive, standard cam

Power did a good cam years back an sx428t ? had one in my 1st s2.

 

all depends on the spec of you engine?

If its std internals / stage 1 (chip, intercooler etc) then STD FORD cam.

 

i think he has steel rods. its on an efi frst engine.
not sure other than taht what spec he is running as he is just picking up all teh bits at the moment to build the engine but he dosnt know what kam to buy.

 

i got the steel rods il have to get forge pistons, rebored block, big valve ported, polished flowed etc with front mount intercooler?

 

If you're adding that little lot then you really don't want a standard cam mate. I run with Kents CVH35 in my Escort and like it so much I'm getting a second to go in my Fiesta Can't say whether it would be suitable for what you want or not though
