re-fitting polybushes
As part of the ongoing work on my RS today ive removed all the old ford bushes on the rear of the car, ready to have the anti-roll bars and suspension arms shot blasted and powder coated
It was a fookin game gettin all the old bushes out
, but what is the best way of putting the new bushes in without damaging them?il prob re-fit polybushes i think the main suspension arm pivot bushes will be the worst
...advice please lads...CheeRS!

shane, most polybushes come split for ease of fitment,ie deflex,
failing that, lube em with a light oil as they are water and oil proof.

If you buy POWERFLEX bushes, you get little bags of copper type grease with them and they just slide stright in.If you choose other polybushes you need to by this grease. It allso stops the bushes sqeaking...P.S. Be aware that some polybushes fit better than others, but unlike standard rubber bushes, polybushes don't need to be pressed in.
awesome,i dont have to mess about pressin em in.i spent ages pressin em out today,i should've got the blow torch on em like adam...sounds like they will go back in alot easier!

Cheapest are DEFLEX ,£100 for the fronts and rears.Top end of the market are POWERFLEX.£200 for the fronts and rears. Some people say DEFLEX are just as good if only being used on the road, but if you want the best all round ,road, track e.c.t then POWERFLEX are the ones for you.
Personal preference.I bought the cheapest DEFLEX , but didn't fit that well..so sold them and bought POWERFLEX ones and they fitted like a glove. As a wise man once said CHEAP NOT GOOD,....GOOD NOT CHEAP.
