When you say it wont rev above 6200rpm are you refering to where your power drops off as in its peak power?
or
Your car physicaly wont rev beyond 6200rpm (say for example) like hitting a rev limiter at 6200rpm?

Mine is a std cam, and with a t34, full boost at 3600 and so far it's mapped to 6,5k, and wants to rev past no problem. What is actually happening? U shouldnt be getting valve float - are the lifters pumping up?

newman cam with solid lifters then see pumaracing for his double valve spring system you wont suffer valve float until you pass 8000rpm..
what oil is in it? Although solid lifters will cure it, they shouldnt pump up at 6.2. Ivr gone past 7k a few times with no problem. U could try a new set if u dont want to go all out with the newman.
