Default Legal towing

I bought a rotten 205 yesterday, nice deal involved a straight swap on a stereo. And whilst pushing the car into my mates Garage forecourt, a copper stopped me and gave me a producer for the vehcle,( It has no MOT, Tax, and I am not insured on it.)

So I need to collect the car from my mates garage today, and was wondering if a vehicle needs an MOT to be towed on an A-frame?

It needs to have tax at the very least to be towed on anything where any of the wheels will touch the floor

if more than 2 wheels are touching the floor it needs tax - if 2 wheels are suspended then its classed as a trainler and is then covered by your cars tax and insurence
