hmmmmm. I may be wrong but I am sure I saw an Autodata printout saying that an RS turbo fuel pump worked between 4.5 and 5.5 bar of pressure, where as the XR3i fuel pump was 3.5 - 4.5 bar of pressure or sumthing like that, I'll check and get back to you.
I had a check on Autodata the XR31 feul pump operates at 4.5 - 5.5 bar of pressure, the RS tufbo runs at 5.5 to 6.0 bar.
So you can use an XR3i pump but it is operating at max to give the rs the corrsct fueling. I would personally get a turbo feul pump as it will last you longer.
Is the autodata quoting the fuel system pressure or the pressure the pump can produce? I think it will be the pressure the system operates at, in which case if it is the xr3i pump should be the same. Have a look on microcat, i was lookng the other day im certain they have the same part number, cossie ones im sure are different though, as they are the same as the 2.9 granada pumps.
