Default Classic insurance . . .

Rang for some quotes on the S1 as the policy is due for renewal soon. I know you can get classic insurance on the S1 but Adrian Flux(i think) said you can't if it's modified, it has to be standard. Is this right ? Does anyone have classic insurance on a modified car ? cheeRS in advance

I tried on my 3dr, could only get classic if I stayed at stage 1 any more and had to go back on normal policy, but you can get these as limited milage to reduce premium

My cossie is modified and insured with HIC on a classic policy. Car has to be at least 15 which of course your S1 will be.

That 25 year rule for classic tax has now been scrapped as far as I'm aware. It still applies to cars before they stopped it though.

Correct, I think that means they must have stopped that rule from 1998
