Default fiesta zetec engine swap

Hi there, my g/f's fiesta 1.25 zetec just snapped its timin belt, engine is beyond repair so we're thinking about putting in a zetec s 1.6 engine but im not sure whats involved i.e chang loom etc? the car already had lowered uprated suspension and i will be upgradeing the brakes of course. any help[ would be much appreciated, many thanks

engine should be fine i would have thought. should only have bent a few valves, just get a new head.

my mate dont the same conv on his 1.25. he dropped his zetec s engine in out of his rolled one and im quite sure that its just a straight swap, also he left out the air con to save a bit of weight and it was quite quick

nah one of the valves snapped the head off and bounced about inside the cylinder and scored the bore in a bad way. i know the engine will physically fit its just the wiring that im wondering about, whether the engine looms the same and its just a case of changeing the ecu or have to change the complete engine loom?....
