Just built mine - 22lbs and running 32:20. I put wide bars on but still not getting enough leverage. Here she is......

How did I know this thread was going to be by you without even reading the author
Bike looks good. Single speeds can be used by lunatics for racing the same courses that geared moutain bikes ride. Generally for fitter, madder people

Guzzler - you send me a sticker and it'll be on the bike! Can you send me a bacon sarnie too?
It only has one gear to make it lighter, purer and in theory faster on certain courses - it forces you to sprint hills that you would otherwise have gone up using the granny ring. I nearly passed out on my first ride!
Alan - I'm jsut trying to make u feel guilty about not building one of these yourself

After my first 2 rides my knees were hurting - time for the Glucosamine and Cod liver oil in industrial doses!
Neil - get it built mate - you can always pose with it and pretend you've got the muscle to use it LOL!

Spuds are just dangerous full stop. I've seen far too many massive crashes in bmx races that would of been completely fine with flats

I built one, not as bling as those above though, before I could drive I used to bike to work, was only about 1.5 miles but a good flatish run, old bike gave up the ghost so I stripped it and rebuilt it, hope single speed rear hub, xtr bottom bracket, mavic rims and cut all the brake and gear cable guides/mounts off, single speed and no brakes
Could beat my mate to work (in his car) setting off at the same time and he lived further away
I can get some pics but its not anything special, but its all DIY so I love it!
