It only has one gear to make it lighter, purer and in theory faster on certain courses - it forces you to sprint hills that you would otherwise have gone up using the granny ring. I nearly passed out on my first ride!

I dont think I could build one, I like my gears too much, I will stick to having admiration for those lunatics that race them and ride crazy US mountains on the weekendd
