Default my cars just been written off! bugger

had a some bump last week, some wanker pulled out on me without checking to see if it was clear.

it was in my RS2000 mk5

insurance co have written it off, saying there is £1800s worth of damage!

only damage is headlight, wing slightly bent, bumper cracked, bonnet got a bit bent just above the headlight

they also say there is damage to the chassis leg & cross member

what do i need to do to get it back on the road?

that £1800 is at dealer prices for parts and labour to fix. would have thought you could buy it back and do it for a lot cheaper

How much have they offered you ?? Work out what it will cost you to get it repaired (properly),against it's true worth. Do a deal with them, with you ''Retaining the salvage'' . Then, you can get it repaired and come out on top, financially. Make sure you get a good price for settlement......they will usually offer low,to start with !!

You've got to stand your ground with insurers!! You should have been there when the valuer looked at your car,you could have worked out an 'agreed' figure, before he went back to the office, that way.....
