hi my m8 has a j reg 4x4 cosworth and when he comes to start it up from cold it will not idle right for 5 mins ish it goes 1000rpm up to 3000 he has checked and cleaned the iscv but nowt can anyone help

 

maybe iscv is fooked well and proper ,run the car an disconnect the multiplug that powers it and see what car does !!

They are quite exspensive new ,i had to buy one just before xmas on my 92 4x4 cossie ,cars are gettin to that age where components need replacing
