just use a bit of force thats all, it looks like it aint gonna fit but when you pop in on n it sits in place its ok

just push the heater box back to get it on the let the heatewr box rest back against it

When I fitted mine I cut off the little bit of plastic that sticks out from the heater box, bout 3inches to the right of the middle..

If you don't make a cut-out, then the airbox seal will not sit properly against the bonnet vent. And it will look gash. Do it right mate, and make the cut-out so that it all sits correctly with no stresses on parts

BTW, if you make the cut-out, a bit of black rear hatch-to-panel sealing trim makes a good edging on the airbox to finish the look off.

funny mines the sparco 1 & the heater matrix thingy sits perfect, no cutting done and it still lines up with the vents fine

Hmmm..I had to do the cut-out on my S2.

Before the fit with cut-out and drilled ready to go:

After the fit:

It wasn't a lot, but it didn't sit right without the box being cut.

No, just take the top seal off and unclip the front of the surround via the metal clips on each end.

I used a hacksaw blade to cut it. It's quite thick, so a stanley blade will not do it. Fit your strut brace with the cover off, then keep trial fitting the cover until it fits back in nicely without too much hassle.
