well i put the bonnet on it yesterday, adjusted the ride height on the coilovers, got the adjustable tca's something like right and it was ready for its first outing once i had got her ticking over correctly.
took the oil out as i wanted to check the greys werent pumping too much fuel causing borewash, the oil was fine with no signs of fuel.she now has silkolene in-oil pressure fine
took it out gingerly just to be safe and it drove fine once i had got used to the paddle clutch again!
gave it a little bit and it went up towards the end of the boost gauge(2.5 bar)!!!!
feels good and pulls well, but it was raining so ive put her to bed until monday.finally seems like all the money/time is paying off.im smiling again,
she is booked in to see stu in april so will be taking it easy until then
here is a list of what i have done over the last 6 months
fitted my old sapphire engine;200 studded block,low comp,knife edged crank,multi layer head gasket,head ported to wrc spec,double valve springs,bronze guides,bd10 cams,black rocker cover,4 paddle clutch.all cometic gaskets,grey injectors,l8 ecu,4x4 tps.3 bar map sensor,and of course the t4 turbo.air injectors.denso iridium plugs,silkolene oil.
bailey swirl pot,header tank,mirror breather tank,alloy strut brace,alloy pas tank,group a coil,alloy map sensor bracket,alloy gearbox mount,
black roose motorsport boost and coolant hoses
new mongoose stainless exhaust
new fuel tank, with bosch 044 fuel pump and new filter
new gaz coilovers, polybush kit, adjustable track control arms,
racetec boost and oil pressure gauges in centre vent.
16"x8" bbs x-spoke alloys
hi-spec 300mm front brake kit with braided hoses.
come on summer
makes it all worth while
future plans
secs monitor and closed loop with black injectors, and now rebuild the original rs500 engine(just in case i ever sell it-it usually happens when i get a good car)
