Hi guys
Having now got a front mount intercooler, im finally at the stage where i can get the car chipped. However, before i do this i want to get the gearbox and clutch sorted as the gearbox whines its head off

Now, what i want to know is, is what i need for this pretty basic spec.

57i
full scorpion
Piper cam with vernier
radtec front mount
chip and -31 actuator

I dont drive it like a Tvvat ie. spinning the wheels up in 1st, dumping the clutch etc, although obviously when im chasing mates on the bypass the wheels will spin up in 2nd.

So what will i need, just a recon standard box and clutch or a CTS stage 1 and AP organic? Money aint exactly flowing, though i can just about afford the CTS and AP if really needed if i eat baked beans for a few months

I've got the cts stage 1 and the ap organic effort and it's sweet

I would say standard re-con box and Genuine FORD clutch would be fine...although if it was me i'd stick the AP Organic clutch in it just to be double sure

 

my cars got a few mods,front mount,chipped etc and its just got a standard box which has lasted ages so think th box will last as long as it isnt abused.but i would uprate the clutch,i think mines an ap organic!
