How do u tell a ERST CVH from any other CVH

Default How do u tell a ERST CVH from any other CVH

hi mate of mines got an engine for sale but were note sure what it is

the bloke hw bought the car from to break says ita a 1600cc turbo lump but im not convinced

there is no inlet or exhuat on the engine

is there any way to tell the difference casting numbers etc?????

See if there is an oil return in the bottom front of the block, only turbo's have this for the turbo oil feed. Pistons will also say a lot, near on completely flat on the top.

For starters it should have the turbo oil return pipe on the front of the block is its a proper RST engine. Dont know if there is another way of telling though
