mk2 mondeo problems
can anyone help me have a v6 mk2 mondeo that the traction control and abs warning light are remaining on and the traction control switch will not turn off
You have a issue with the taction control and ABS ?
Did you know the MK2 Mondeo Traction control light - when illuminated tells you the system is OFF not on like the Mk1's where when its illuminated its ON.
They are both connected together i.e. they are on the same wireing loom, now to fix this you could try the following, check to see if any of the ABS wireing loom is damaged, at every wheel. this will on its own illuminate both lights.
The Traction control unit runs paralel with the throttle cable, if you open th bonnet and look at the bottom left hand side ( opposite to the battery ) you will see the unit that controls the traction control. ( remove the electronic plug and clean the contacts. )
One more thing . Do you suffer with throttle hang - revs will sit at approx 3k when changing gear, because this could cause that too.

have you got different wheels on the car? if you have 205/55/15 tyres on the front and 205/50/15 tyres on the back it confuses the computer because of the different rolling radiuses.
