some one tell me where the thermostat goes please???
I thought it was inside the head as you look at the engine behind the bit where the top hose from the rad goes???
just took it off and there aint anything there at all and the thermostat doesnt seem to fit any where!!!

it fits in the therostat housing which is the bit you ar talking about.

the bulb bit of the thermo stat sitis inside the engine.

 

do you mean the bit thats got 88 stamped on it, same side as the spring??

and should it fit inside the housing?? it looks like it should fit right inside but the one i have dont fit inside???? the lip around the thermostat itself stops it from going right inside???
do i have the wrong one???
