Got home last night to find out my cossie is pissing water, after a bit of pooking around it looks as if its coming off the bit under the thermostat housing (it looks removeable and has a pulley on it). Can any one tell me what this part is, is it easy to fix and if its a garage job is there any quick fixes to enable me to drive it to the garage???
thanks in advance

dead easy chap...1st slacken off the bolts that hold the pulley on (easier with alternator beltys still on) then release the tension on your alternator belt...remove belts....remove the bolt holding your alternator strap to the water pump...remove the two coolant pipes....remove the remaining securing bolts and tap the water pump free from the block. Clean up surfaces, and fit your new pump (get a gen 1 m8...ive had grief with pattern parts in the past with regards mating to block machining quality)....with new gasket....reassemble parts...refill coolant level....run up to temp...check heaters hot then recheck levels.
