S1 RS Turbo Spot Lights
The spot lights on my S1 have decided they are not going to work any more. I have changed both bulds, still no joy, if I use a multimeter it shows there is over 12 volts there with the engine running and the lights on full beam. When I put the bulb back in the circuit the multimeter reads 0 volts or lo. Could it be a bad earth, if so were are the spot lights earthed.
Thanks
Thanks

there should be an obvious cable that runs into the engine bay, follow this and it will come to a connection, just unplugs
i would chase the wires back to see if it's corroded or the ends just gone woooooopsi

I have chased them back and cleaned up the connectors, but haven't been unable to find the earth. There is an earth nead the wiper motor, but I can't find 1 near the spot lights or head lights.

The earth is connected in with each headlamps earth, which drops down to its respective chassis rail. You will see an odd brown wire on its own screwed up. If the headlights are working i doubt very much you have lost an earth, especially if neither work as that means u would have to lose both the earths on either side of the car. Have you checked the relay? And have you continuity tested the earths?
