will check wiring for it etc. any way to test the phase sensor its self ?
i spose i shud go alittle deeper into what happened.....
alittle while ago i pulled up at some traffic lights and it just died. took ages to get it started again. it hasnt realy been used since then...... took it out yesterday and it happened again, but this time when iwas driving, but because it was in gear after a second or two it just bumped itself back into life.
so i drove home put it on my drive left it ticking over and it died again. now it wont start. there is fuel, but no spark
ne ideas

could also be a fuel prob check pressure ?
but you say u have not got a spark ? when cranking check 4 spark at coil lead if u have not all ready
BUT NEVER ASSUME THAT NEW PARTS ARE OK !!!!!!!!
i've spent loads of time and money only to find it was a part replaced recently
good luck

you can test the ignition system including the ignition amp..:
unplug the ECU to expose the terminals of the 35W connector; with ignition on, momentarily bridge pins 24 & 25 of the ECU harness connector with a piece of stiff wire, each time you bridge and remove the link you should get a spark from the coil. This will test the ign. amp, coil, and wiring to both plus trigger wires to pins 24 and 25 of ECU.
the row of pins that has one less position runs from 19 to 35 (19 is main ground with brown wire), pin 26 should be empty, pins 24 and 25 should be black wires.
