Default top grill question

hi peoples i am wondering if anyone has any idea which paint i need to do my top grill black? do i need to sand it all down first to or just paint straight over the silver straight away? any ideas anyone????

Just had a look and yeah thats a stainless woven mesh grille, i don't think you are going to very easily paint that and more importantly make it look good?

IMO i think it looks good.

just facied a change but no its not stainless the phase 2 came with stainless but mines phase 1 therefore its plastic, plus it will match the botton one cause its black.

Me that looks like a twat i got it wrong

But in answer to the question anyway u really want to just take the shine off the chrome so the paint sticks, but dont go using 80 grit or anything like that it will look shocking Scotch pad is what i would use

where will i get that stuff from? suppose if it looks shit i can just set it on fire...... or go to the scrap yard and pull another one off maybe lol

anywhere really, DIY places, its just like cotton wool type stuff but obviously is a little bit coarse, and its usually brown..

no not yet its snowing so dont wanna go out lol, last time it snowed a warburtons truck beshed into my car while it was parked up outside the bank, was gutted lol

actually they were really good, there insurance company paid for my car to go to fords body shop to get fixed and provided me with a hire car they were really good, i never even had to inform my insurance company. but i use hovis now lol its was a huge 7.5 tnn wagon was surprised how little damage it did, only needed rear quarter painting, dint removed, back bumper painted and new bumper strip.

actually lorry came out worse lol i was parked up next to curb on a bank behind the Ł bank lol and it came down the road and slid straight into my car wedging it up against the curb so i started crying cause he couldnt get the truck off my car so we had to drive my car out from the truck and it ripped the front corner off the truck, my fiesta was hardcore like lol

its immaculate i like to look after it lol think if it hadnt been so low it mite have done more damage but the area that took impact was the reinforced bit round the light could have been a lot worse like

U mean u look after it when ur not out thrashing it and racing I should cut my losses and just get a new car but i dont really like them, with 2 exceptions of course, Focus RS and Fiesta ST

i dont thrash it actually i drive carefully lol i test drove an st not long back and altough it was fast it didnt really feel that quick, wasnt 100% sure so decided against it lol they look cool though

dunno whether it was just cause its so much bigger than mine, didnt really put my foot down but felt heavy and a pillar really annoyed me cause im quite small and it limited my field of vision, had it doin ninety no probs along dual carriageway but didnt feel like i was moving.
