On the way to work was in my car.. had just started raining a little... as i came to a halt at some traffic lights... an Audi TT pulled up along side me.. i wasnt going to bother racing it as i had fuck all petrol
but as the lights turned green he nailed it away! i too hammered my foot down... changed very smoothly into second.. and reved as hard as i could
i was just catching him up when i had to change to 3rd... as i did so the fucker wheelspan right up to the limiter
thought.. ahhh itll be ok.... and kept my foot down..
finally got some grip and as i did i noticed i was accelerating about half as quick as i should of been doing.. and there was allmighty popping and banging from the exhaust
spitting back shit and smoke out of it..
Seeing as i was on a dual carriage way and about 20 miles from home i thought it would be best if i limpe dthe car to work as i really didnt want to be stuck in on a dual carriageway with a car that doesnt work and no phone to ring anyone
Anyway limped into work.. and as i acame to a halt it actually idled
just not very well! popped the bonnet and as soon as i lifted it i could see No'1 lead had completely come off the dizzy cap 
Popped it back on and it ran sweet.
So memo to self.. do NOT bang off the rev limiter when changing gear
