I think i've won the 4th or 5th set i've seen on there :-?

i think that in this country they are quite rare but in germany, which im presuming is where they are coming from they sold quite a lot and i may be wrong but i think they still may sell them

 

There Not the RS one's there german as the rear fog is on the other side on uk ones

They are the Rs accessory ones as sold in germany, i dont belive the Rs accessory ones were every avaliable in th UK.

Anyway, thats not what i asked - i dont give a monkeys where the bloody fog light is!!!

What is it with Fiesta owners and the location of the fog/reverse lamp

yeah i have won some off the guy in question and my came in a1 condition and quickly i may add too

 

rs accessory one's were for sale in the uk, tinted indicator but the fog and reverse were on the right sides for uk models, were as the german ones are the other way round.

german ones are 2 to a penny in a way, there not rear but apart from ebay hard to come by, but over there there like buying clears over hear, easy, try and get uk spec ones, these fuckers are rare as there no longer made or sold byu ford, the only way to get them is via s/h sales, 1900cvh got a set, and prob the last set from ford and he paid over £400 for them and thats no shit!!

but s/h ik spec ones dont come up for sale offtern, ive been looking for a good few years and am yet to find any, got some german ones though

 

thats what i said jay and got my head beaten off. just trying to help as i'm sure you have to do something for the wiring. so you don't have a red reverse light and a clear fog

 

havent fitted them mate and prob wont tbh, im after a uk spec passanger one so i can have 2 reverse lights like i have no in norm spec rear lights,

lucky i have a pic of rs accessory german rear lights AND uk spec rs accessory rear lights ill post them up

The fog light has to be on the drivers side of the car to pass the MOT. But putting a red bulb in the clear reverse lamp will sort this.

The reverse light would then show red through the fog lense. You could re-wire this to be another fog lamp though, which looks good. And I don't think you HAVE to have a reverse light for the MOT. Only if you have one does it have to work correctly.

 

as long as you have a fog, it dont matter waht side, as long as it works, dont have to have a reverse light for mot.

as for red fog one side and clear lense but shin red when on as another fog, er......SHIT springs to mind, swap 2 wires over, job done.

i do know though, that if you have 2 fogs like the mk2 xr2 and 1 is out, as long as the drivers side was working it would pass mot, BUT..... this only applies as it had 2 fog lights to start with.

anyone else need proof, just look at a pug 206 with the fog in the center

 

reverse lights arent part of the mot and a fog light must be present and visible from the centre line to the drivers side rear of the car showing a clear red light .personally i wouldnt pay £100 for a set of foreign lights their obviously gonna be rare if they are foreign.i prefer clear rears they are much nicer and dont look stupid with reverse light being on the wrong side.

 

if you have only one fog light in th UK it has to legally be centrally mounted or on the O/S

 

Yeah, agreed. Don't know what was I thinking.
Just wouldn't look right with odd lenses. But works if they are a matching pair of clears or if using a standard UK O/S and standard German N/S.

So I was on the right lines with this one thou.

jayRS - okay so I left out your combination but that works as well.

Any matching combination works.

(I run clear lenses, just have to stick on reflectors come MOT time. )
