did it last year mate. as a driver anyway (of some years by the sound of it) you'll have no problem.
you should get a video when you have booked your test that explains it.
if not, there is an explanantion during the theory test, and you have plenty of time to relax and watch it and let it soak in.
basically, the video is a drivers eye view of different scenario's, and you have to click the mouse button when you see a hazard. for example, you are driving along a dual carriageway past a slip road and something starts to come down the sliproad.
you'll have no problem. remember that it's designed for 17 year old kids who have no road experience.

I hate hazard perception
I failed my theory the first time i took it cos i got 34 on the questions & failed hazard perception by 1 mark - i just end up day dreaming because its so boring lol
so i cant really give you much advice - just practice loads using the cd
hopefully I'll pass 2nd time next week

just what i want when i'm on the road, a sheila going around day dreaming cos there's not enough hazards around to keep her attention.
they should put more useful stuff in the test like how to hold your mobile whilst doing your make up

I'd also just broke up with my bf & was seeing him after so spent most of the time thinking of what to say to him
sorry love, but if you can't take the theory test seriously, i don't think that you should pass it.
the roads are a bloody dangerous place these days. i didn't use to care too much either. i've had my share of spins, off, and crashes. i was lucky. i never once got hurt.
now i ride, it's a different story. i've had to be more responsible, and it maddens me to see people, especially young ones that think they know it all, not taking the dangers that they can present to themselves and other road users seriously.
do yourself a favour love and study the theory as best you can, we don't want more young people to leave us tragically early.
the uk driving test is imo, too easy to pass as it is. don't think that just because you've passed, that you know all there is about driving. it's all about experience at the end of the day, and what the hazard perception test is trying to do is to help those with little experience to be aware of, and recognise hazards. your comment above tends to suggest that you're not quite there yet.
sorry for the harsh words Vix

they count really weird stuff as hazards as well

I'm not saying i'm not taking it seriously, i just think the way we have to do hazard perception isn't the best becuase sitting in front of a computer screen is nothing like driving. It would be better to do a commentated drive telling to instructor all the hazards you see or something.
there's not exactly mush you can study when it comes to hazard perception is there?!

i'm sorry if i misjudged and patronised you
if you go to WH smiths they sell they hazard percepton practice dvd/video. my bird had to take this part of the test last november and she passed the question bit with 35 out of 35 but failed the hazard bit . she got four zeros which means the computer played the bit of vid and then finished and she hadnt even pressed the button so if in doubt click that button cause next time she took it she pass but only just but this time she got no zeros so them extra 1s or 2s do count. take a trip to WH Smiths.
