Default Oil pump wows - any expert advice?

Right - I "think" the V large oil pump fitted to my YB has caused the teeth on the dizzy gear to fail. We had this happen in testing but beefed up the washer thing that takes the force to try to stop it happening again. It tested fine so intalled engine.
Yesterday it looks like it has failed again after 500 odd miles so the fix is not good enough. On the search for reliability i think i would feel happier going back to something more off the shelf.
What are the best oil pump options? My block is a 200block with "large" oil squirts, 2 turbos and a massive oil cooler so probably needs a fair bit of flow. We have an external oil pressure relief valve thingy so can set pressure where ever so a high pressure spring mod is not too important as it will only be getting jammed closed anyway lol.
I see mountune sell grpA 4wd pumps with checked clearances etc. Have also read things about cover flex problems on ford pumps - is this remotely true?
Options and ideas will be gratefully recieved. The engine builder is away on holiday so i just want ideas and options as I wont have it sitting about for long. For piece of mind i want a more tried and tested idea as I think our pump arrangement is just too overkill.

Cheers for ideas

Martin

I know the spring mod but its redundant as we have the external control - I personally dont know the clearance thing that mountune are on about - I am no engine builder - obviously , guess its making sure the rotor is tight as hell to the cover by the exact amount. I need to keep my motivation good at these hard times lol

Yip I would be V grateful for a PM on what you think is wise as you have experience of reving the nuts out of these engines
