I am sure i read that it is illegal.

If there was an emergancy you would not be able to get off your drive.

Police matter..............Or just leave him blocked in

If its right across your drive, then smash the window and let the handbrake off.

Or if its got an alarm, set that off and see who comes out.

Or you could try and phone the police but doubt they be interested unless you tell them its been dumpted right in the middle of the road and causing an obstruction

Ive heard of someone getting a parking ticket for
parking across someone's drive before,but i'd ring
your town hall and ask where the law stands on that
kind of thing!

Or find someone with a tow truck and drag the
fcuking car out the way, cheeky brstd

You should be able to phone the council and they will come and remove the car

I did that to someone's car once, had been dumped right outside my parents house for days so we hooked up my pug 406 diesel and dragged it down the road with the rear wheels locked up cos the handbrake was on

What he has done is "Obstruction".

What your mate has done is also "Obstruction".

If you report it to the police, they will probably take 2 days to come and look.

You want 4 plastic wheel trims and a mate with a 4x4 or something with some power and pull it down the road, or pull it up on your drive and block it in.

Maybe who ever it is was too p**ssed to remember where they parked.

If its anyone nearby they will probably come out when you start jacking up his/her car to put the trims under the wheels.

Attach a rope to his towing eye and get your mate thats blocked him in to pull him out the way, preferably leaving it in the middle of the road

I have had a simular problem,if its right across your drive report to the police as being obstruction, they may ask you to phone back in a few hours to conmfirm its still there.
The copper said to me they can remove the car if need be.

It is obstruction if it prevents you leaving your drive, not if it prevents you getting on to your drive.

It is illegal to park anywhere on the road except in a designated parking bay. Causing an obstruction to the highway.

In reality it rarely gets enforced. Phone the police, they will come round. Say you have a family emergancy or something, normally come round within half a day round here. Seen them break into a few cars and move them

Definately illegal as he may have prevented the car from next to it from moving as well if there was a car parked behind it

Alternatively, nip to McDonalds, get 4 of the brown plastic trays and put one under each wheel. Makes it much much easier to drag down the road

Is the curb rasied or lowered?!?! as i think if its not a lowered curb and a proper driveway then techincally its not a recognised as 1 but dont quote me on that.

But bernie is right as we've had this problem at our house for years now as theres a school opposite, is only an obstruction if u cant get out as its classed as entrapment!!!! doesnt stand if u cant get on the drive.

Makes u laugh how many ppl will watch u get in the car, roll dwn the drive then only move when u hit the horn and tell them 2 fook off!!!!!!!

As said thou just jack it up and put it on trays then stick it somewhere in the way and report it 2 the police as being abandoned

Unfortunatly the law sucks if you move or damage the car in any way yourself they can prosicute <<< fooking spelling aint my best subject lol the best option is as stated by some one above ring the police with the reg number and they will sort it

But Nutter for future refrence if you put a small sign on your wall out side your hose stating that any vechicles that block your drive will be clamped and a £100 charge to remove it you are well withing the law to do that and you can make some money out of the tw@ts at the same time

Regards Doug .

That Mondeo is'nt really blocked that well. The owner could reverse it back and then drive around the right hand side of the tree on the grass. You're better off letting down all his tyres or dragging it out of youre way and dumping it in the middle of the road.Regards Micky
