I think if we ask him nicely, Mike R would bring some Castrrol 10/60 to the show

I have seen some for £27.99 but a mate of mine bought some from a show last year for £20 a pack which I thought was a right bargain! Have not seen any at the shows so far this year though.

Thought it was usually between Castrol RS or Mobil 1 which I have heard a few people say is crap!

 

Should be able to get RS10/60 for £20/4-litres
Castrol RS10/60 or Mobil1 Motorsport 15/50? are both fine. It's the 0/40 variants of both that are worth avoiding.

 

Did you know lotus carltons use this for their gearbox oil, learn a new thing everyday eh

 

I would say that Valvoline 5/40 is fine for standard and stage 1 Cossies. Not sure about stage 3 or 4 cossies........

Having said that my Paul Bailey engined Saph (4x4) used the next grade up (Valvoline 5/50) for around 4 years, engine was Stage 4 on light blues with 407 BHP/396 ft /LBS and I did 4 to 5 track days per year in that car WITH NO PROBLEMS!

 

I'm using some of Doug's Synpower soon, so will let you know how it works out. My oil pressure is good on RS10/60 even stinking hot with track use, I won't be doing any more track this year so can't see it being a problem..

yeah, ML are always a good bet, but I haven't seen or heard anything of Matt this year???

 

Woodfrod garage are goin to ford fair. They will have some. Last year lots of traders had it for £20 so dont see why this year will be any different.
