Default Rocker Arms

Just fitted a Newman cam with solid lifters and setting up the followers. Should the rocker arms be able to move from side to side slightly?

how much is slightly? mesure it... more than 1mm is not good...

and are the contact face between the rocker and the post? they should be polished with no signs of scoring or pitting...

good luck

The Rockers will have a little play in them depending on where that particular valve is on the engine cycle. As you turn the engine over, the slack rockers will change accordingly.
