Default Recieving Money from ebay sale

I have sold an item on ebay, and the buyer would like to send the money to me via bank transfer rather than personal cheque, i wont take paypal, due to fees and it not being safe enough, what im wanting to know is if its safe to let someone send me money this way, and what details i should have to give out. need to know asap so i can let the buyer know.

hi, again. Is it possible for the buyer to reverse payment/claim that the account was stolen etc as this is my only bank account and if this happened i would be royally screwed.

Dougie.

If your really paranoid open a card cash account or similar non credit account for a Ł1 and use that for ebay stuff and don't keep any money in it.

ive just transferred money via bank transfer, its safe afaik, and you dont get charged, they cant withdraw anything from your account and you have their account details anyway so its the same from both end!
