Default S2 turbo hoses - is he right ?

Hi

I need a bit of advice.
I tried to buy samco turbo hoses from a company, but the guy didnt have any in stock and was unable to get a set. Anyway, he was able to order a set of SFS hoses. The only thing is that they are for a car with a dump valve, but according to the salesman the SfS hoses come with a bung and hose clip and would be ok to use.
Anyway, to get to the point. Is it ok to use them like that and do SFS hoses come with this cap/clip, and if not, am I able to buy a suitable plug?.
The thing is, is that I paid for them (whoops!!!!) and pick em up on tuesday.

Thanks
gaz

SFS will make the hoses with or without a DV Port, so he is obviously getting them from someone else. Perhaps you should have a shop around?? Sounds like he is trying to sell what he can get, not what you want.

The thing is , I've already paid for them (whoooooops!!!!!!)

I became fed up trying to get hold of a set of Samco, so when he suggested SFS (supposedly supplied with blanking cap) I thought go for it.

Does anyone know if they are supplied with a cap?

Thanks again for any replies.

No, it will 100% defo not be supplied with a cap. They are intended for use with a DV.

All silicone hopse companies take AGES to make their stuff as it is all 100% handmade. Roose Motorsport (??) came on here a while ago suggesting that he could make them quicker and everyone that has commented seems happy with what he has done.

Are they ok to use with a cap?

I'll phone supplier in morning and discuss it. Oh and by the way, I paid £115 for them, is this a decent price?

Thanks.

Alloy blanking bung is what most people use with d/v outlets

Am I right in thinking that they are ok to use with a bung and won't cause any problems ?

You wil obviously need a jubilee clip to secure it even though it's tight anyway, they should supply one if the bloke said he does...

Trade descriptions act and all that stuff
