Default DUMP VALVE PROBLEM

Just wondering if anyone can help, the dump valve on my 1990 4x4 cosworth only works now and again, even when it does its poor, tried changing the dump valve but that was the same, any ideas thanks

Its the same even with other dump valves?

Is it a "Grp A" item? (With the filter on the dump valve)

Have you checked the diaphram (if it has one) and all the piping (vaccumm pipes)?

i have a forge motorsport group a single piston one on at the moment, and also tried a bailey twin piston niether seem to work. wondered if a faulty amal valve may cause this, would it?

nah the twin piston 1 wont work mate , or atleast they didnt on mine , and chances are the grp 1 single piston 1 has a hole in the diaphram ..
