A friendly copper *might* be able to help, but if you're unsure, get another log book from DVLA

DO you actually mean you can't remember if you registered the car to yourself?

I bought the cossie of Neil 'cossiesfx' from here, I don't think he's sent the lg book of on his end, and I've lost his number and can't find him on here! I need to get another one me thinks, but if he hasn't registered it to me then I'll have to register it myself with that form from the post office right? But if he has registered it to me and the log book has been lost in the post or somethin, what do I do then?

So I basically need to find out who the car is actually registered to, me or him!

Get the form from the post office and all you have to worry about is getting 2 log books through the post

Phone DVLA in the first instance, and say your log book hasn't turned up - they should be able to advise you.

Or, yes you can get a form from the PO - http://www.dvla.gov.uk/faq/faq_lost_documents.htm

Think they make you pay £19 for copies now too

You could try the RAC data checker and see if its last date of ownership has been updated
