Default mongoose zorst

i got a mongoose 3" exit zorst, i looked at it underneath the other day and there was a fixing near the flexi bit on the exhaust side for a rubber but nothing on the body side for it to hang from??

im thinking maybe the zorst isnt for my car mayb?

the zorst also catches on speed humps?

is this normal for my system? cars not lowerd much at all?

oh and it needs a shine up cos its pretty dirty, will i ever get the shine back into it?

sounds normal, my mates one isn't lowered and he still has to go over speed bumps with jus one wheel so zorst doens't catch...

does it look like the metal 'hook' it needs to hang from might of snapped off over time? i've heard of this happen before...

Mongeese (or is it Mongooses, or maybe even Mongi's ) exhausts don't have a flexi section.

Doesn't matter what make it is the answers the same.
Get car in air and undo the clamps, if it's all a bit crusty you may have to get
the FBH out and give it but of a clump to free it all up. A bit of judicious twisting different sections will raise it quite considerably so it won't catch
any except the worst (see peoples republic of Islington) humps.
Pay particular attention to the section to the rear of back box as, if memory
serves, this makes the biggest difference. If you want to do the the job really well (see broken studs etc above) Collins (Mongoose)produce a bolt on bracket which bolts to the floor near gear linkage/those of you fitting your
shiney new B+M's today will no doubt have seen the two hole which this bolts to. Hope this Helps.
P.S.
surely the collective noun for mongose is mongeese/just a thought!

my down pipe is the bit that catches on my magnex sytem, (car is lowered 45 mm) and its bent the down pipe on to the starter moter

car eats starter motors like mad lol, changed it twice in 12000 miles

I'm not surprised if your down pipe touches it.......

As for the exhausts, ive got a scorpion on my cabby at the moment and (believe it or not) its too high if anything it rarely hits the ground but if u hit a big bump it hits the floor pan somewhere, i just can't see any marks underneath to see whats hitting? It does catch the back panel slightly though which is getting on my tits a bit anyone else had this problem?
