Default DVD writers help wont play?

I need something that will let me burn some videos I have to DVD at 700ish mb or there abouts?

also would be useful to be able to plug an external one into my works laptop so I can back up my work work.

anyone any recommendations?
or just a cheap reliable internal one if they are easy enough to connect?

dont know anything about DVD recording and media and whats possible (also backups of things I have license to back up?)

Get A Pioneer DVD burner m8

And you'll need some software to burn from your PC to dvd, Nero is top IMO

Right, Unless you have div-x player support on your dvd player, then it won't play it, same with mpeg and avi.

What you will need to do, is convert the file into dvd format, then burn to a dvd disc

What you need to do, is convert the dix-v file into a dvd file and then just burn it to dvd. Nero won't convert the file to a dvd format unfortunately
