Think you mean 4 paddle chap - which is most commonly used

A 6 paddle would be much better for bite than 4, as it allows some slip but also takes the power - don't think many peeps do them except here....

I had an AP Racing Organic clutch on my old S2 and had no problems in over 5 years and 25,000 miles. My S2 had just over 160bhp.

Agreed on the bite thing though - think the 4 paddle was the worst thing i ever put on my old RST - ruined it as a half town/cruise car and half B road bomber. Would have been ok if it was just a track car though. Heard the 6 paddle is sooo much better though.

The std one will be fine - or if u want a lot more power then an AP organic, but they can get quite heavy depending on what plate u go for. Stay away from a paddle, they not meant for high mileage motors.

well it's unlikely to be the fault of the clutch. The flywheel may need skimming, and ur rear crankshaft oil seal may be leaking. Mine didnt slip at 210bhp.

Get the flywheel surface ground, check that the rear main oil seal is not leaking (if so, replace) then fit a new full clutch kit.

I opted for the 6 paddle Alcon clutch which gives near standard pedal feel and a progressive bite. I was offered another option which was about £600 which was a twin plate clutch! I decided to see how well the paddle performs!!!

I saw ur paddle Daz, looked cool as Interesting to see how it lasts - if this AP decides to let go it'll be my next choice.

Standard clutch should be completely fine at this power level mate. I'd be looking at the flywheel's surface and possible oil cotamination of the clutch unit.

Same here, 220bhp and on standard clutch was fine. I highly rate the standard FORD clutch up to this level of power.

I,ve just fitted an 220mm organic AP CP2000-8 clutch to the S1, seems to be handling the power at the moment and drives fine. Did need to change the pedal and quadrant (the AP site gives full details and part numbers), but that was easy enough and isn't always needed, fit it first and see how it feels, if the bit is to low down or you can't get t the gears then change the pedal etc

I wouldn't go for a cheaper version of the organic clutch as they apparently aren't much better than standard. stick with AP, you'll feel the quality

Mines using a Helix organic clutch and seems (so far) to be coping with the 248bhp I've been hammering through it

I've got the AP 4 Paddle clutch and as said above it's either on or off no in between. Before this I was was a fast road clutch which was only about £120 or around there & that was fine for 200bhp and it didn't wear down to quickly either.
