Default Will my car need to mapped again???

Had my cos mapped at MSD last may(top job done btw),then took her off the road around october, took everything off like turbo, inlet etc to get it all polished, now the only thing im changing is the exhaust to a side exit with 4" bore from turbo with no silencers, how much will this affect the map that was done when it had a mongoose?

thanks

mart

I changed my exhaust on the XR2 it it was waaaaaaaay lean. Need richening up by a fair bit. Now if you're going from a 2 silncer goose, to a no silencer 4" bore side exit, that'll flow alot more air, hence, it'll need a shitload more fuel on the map to compensate, so deffo. Get it mapped.

ask yourself if it doesn't need a remap (or at least the existing map to be tweaked), then why change the exhaust?

i would've thought that stu has enough experiance to be able to send you a chip with a tweaked version of your live map.

Hi Pal,
There will be no need to leave her for a week for a software change like that, i can do a full setup and tweak the map if required all same day for you whilst you take your lady into Blackpool shopping. Its only to develop the full driveability and cold running map that i need it a week, and the backpressure loss (If any) will have a very negligable effect on those mapping areas.

Hey, theres always scope for more power as long as your willing to pay the price to do it 100% correctly and leave all corners intact

Price, i would "Guess" around Ł150ish

You guys have got me thinking now, Karl has got my car at the moment, he`s doing some work on it for me, ive asked him to remove the centre box for me, will that upset the mapping Karl as already done?
