another mapping question
ok right i got bd10s in my coz when it was on a l6 it sounded even on idle but the co meter varied up and down slightly as did a electronic rev counter and i got more or less the same prob now on the dta ecu is it the the cams could do with adjustable pulleys or just more refinement on the map

Potential airleak issue, get the thing pressure tested before looking too deeply at the mapping.
Then try another AFR setting as engines running lean generate lots of torque and teh idle raises if they get a hint of extra fuel.
Finally.. ensure the base idle setting is correct so that the ISCV is doing NOTHING AT ALL.

cheers stu checked for leaks nothing there tried different afrs at idle not much diff but the idle could be at fault then as the valve will click when car is cold so mabey i little work on the pwm map maybe needed
