firstly, can you tell me where the scrapyards are aruund the wokingham area please? need a few bits and pieces.

i was driving out of barkham towards sindlesham this afternoon, and on the right just before bearwood lakes was a flatbed truck with a modena green mk1 escort on the back. anyone from here? signposted up the road was wokingham car spares or something, is that a scrappy?

Hiya Nick, yep thats a scrappy, on Bearwood Rd, Sindlesham and another on the A327 Aborfield (its got a yellow 3 wheeler out the front on the main road). I think Craig (Mosse130) knows of a few more

Not sure who's MK1 escort it is. The guy who runs Edmonds tyre and Exhaust centre in Winnersh has a few nice Mk 1 & 2's

i wouldn't say that the mk1 was particularly nice, it looked in reasonable nick, but had what looked like alloy weller wheels on - not my favourites

 

those scrappys are rubbish, they never have anything useful in there!

There is A1 car spares on the Bearwood Road, and also Berkshire Car Spares on the Arborfield Road.

Neither are any good for older ford stuff really, cars are too modern now.

And if there is anything good 'na, sorry, going to banger it' is a std reply.

A1 is also getting dear.

Jag breaker in Wokingham, Salvage all over the place if you know where to look though.

 

last time i went to A1 Car Spares i saw a half built RS Turbo, i got all excited then realised it was being sprayed at the workshop thing they have on site.

I have seen a Fiesta RS Turbo and XR2i in there once. Thats about it.

 

Edmunds only has a Mk1 mexico now (minter in black) he has sold his mk2 harrier rally prepped escort and all other bits now! not sure of any other scrapyards in the area but wokingham car spares(where scrapheap challenge was filmed for a while) and A1 scrappy.
