Default Turkey

I spose I could use google but fuck it, lets have a discussion. Is Turkey similar in its properties to chicken??

I only ask as I brought some during the week to have in my curry and its cheaper than chicken. Is this because chicken is more popular and mainstream or is turkey an inferior meat? You never hear of bodybuilders eating turkey brests, but why not? Surely its similar in content to chicken? Or have I had too much to drink tonight??

Just done some googling and found the following site:

Chicken:
http://www.calorieking.com/foods/foo...=68275&partner=#

Turkey:
http://www.calorieking.com/foods/cal...10dXJrZXk.html

That says that turkey has more protein although lots of fat and twice the calories.. I guess the fat content is the reason chicken is more popular? Although when bulking turkey looks ideal.

Yeah and 10 times more fat even when bulking just aint a very good idea

When bulking you do expect to put fat on but not 10 times more fat in 1 sitting!! fuck that i'll stick to my chicken thanks lol

Of the 4 sites i seen they all said breast for breast chicken had more protein so fuck knows what to believe

And in a book I just read of my Mum's, it said Turkey is better. I can type it to and elaborate if you want.

I use turkey because i enjoy it, i'd get sick of eating the same thing! Turkey mince is cheap and makes a tasty spag bol. Agree it can be dry, but the turkey steaks are lovely when griddled for a couple of mins then left to rest like steak.
